MARPOL Essentials
Protect the sea. Know the annex. Explain your decision.
Individual practice · 16 questions · Learn at your own pace
Your mission
Practise three skills: identify the six annexes, make informed choices in on-board situations, and use clear maritime English. Choose an answer and select Check answer. After a mistake, read the hint and try another option. Ask for a second hint if needed, or reveal the answer to study the explanation. Your results distinguish independent answers, answers with support, and revealed answers. At the end, practise only the questions that needed support.
An introductory learning exercise, not an operational discharge checklist. On board, use current regulations and the ship’s approved procedures. Sources reviewed: 25 October 2026.
